I don’t feel you’re ready to give up the mocking, rebellious spirit. What is it telling you? You’re getting some kickbacks with it. What are the kickbacks? You don’t have a consistency in your choice for faith. That is a weakness that you really want to look at. In the days ahead, when things get rough, it’s very important that you have a consistency to choose faith as your focus out of which you look at life, instead of the little perks and rewards of the enemy. So, when you cry, “Out of the depths I cry unto thee. Oh Lord, hear my prayer.” That is a translation of what I’m saying to you. We got all this darkness around us deceiving us telling us there’s hurts and all this crud. And were in the depths of contamination believing the lies. We have to cry to the Lord to get us out of these depths. We need to get into His way of looking at life. Because choosing to sit in the atmosphere of Hell and from there to make your decision is not the safest place to be. You want to choose to sit in the atmosphere of life and out of there to make your decisions. That is much safer.

You’re reluctant to choose faith over the suggestions of Satan. See, fear would be a suggestion of Satan. You have anger and resentment at the person that hurt your feet that he is moving along like nothing happened and here you are with your injured feet. Can you smell Hell in that kind of suggestion? Because it’s building up your resentment and anger. It’s the hopelessness in you that grabs that truth and believes it. The faith to believe in Satan’s lies is not the kind of faith that we’re talking about here. There’s a whole teaching here on the development of faith. Can you say, “Convince me. Change my heart from the part of me that wants to hold on to this ridicule and mockery when you’re calling me to let go.”

The spirit of ridicule is still hanging around. “Lord, we need your intervention for whatever part of AM that still has the open door that the mocking spirit is not leaving. What I’m hearing the mocking spirit saying is that it’s got too good of a thing going and it doesn’t want to leave. It’s been successful. I want you to start noticing more and more the role the mocking spirit is playing in your family and whether you are welcoming it and getting some payback from it.

For some families, it comes up when they’re together and it’s part of the laughter and camaraderie? There’s a payback that they hang on to it and it’s really a sick thing. You don’t want to do that and pass it on to your kids. You don’t want them to get the idea that it’s a good thing. With Lent coming up, it might be the kind that is cast out with prayer and fasting. By fasting, I mean the wider use, not just focused on coffee and stuff, but getting rid of the things the Lord wants you to get rid of. Fast from that.
