IT TAKES ARROGANCE TO CONDEMN ONESELF

Betty: You, the adult, have the strength to set the boundaries for your Perfectionist. I believe your Perfectionist is part of your dysfunctional child whose been given too much power with her feelings. She’s gotten contaminated with the spirit of arrogance, judgment and self-hatred. You threw judgment on yourself and condemned yourself. That’s how you originally opened the door. You didn’t want a self that wasn’t perfect. So, it’s the arrogance that decided, “If I’m not perfect, I’m going to reject and condemn myself.” That’s how it invited the spirits. So, if you weren’t arrogant, you wouldn’t have gotten in this mess. Because it takes arrogance to condemn oneself. You’re doing a God act. The judgment is not a spirit. The judgment is the function you used to get into the mess. But you had to give permission to judge and you judged out of arrogance. So, arrogance came in, because you chose it. You chose it over the Word of God, that you be a person who is broken, that you be a creature, a sinner, like all of us. That wasn’t good enough for your Perfectionist.

You really need to renounce that for you to get free. But I want you to do a lot of prayer asking the Lord to help you to truly mean it when you get prayer. See, you’ve got to be willing to give up the luxury of being able to condemn yourself. Because there’s a part of you that almost enjoys condemning yourself. Are you aware of that? You really can’t play with stuff like that, because you pay a heavy price. It’s not worth it.

AM: I see. So, anybody who’s got self-condemnation has an arrogant spirit? It’s because their Perfectionist is rejecting them?

Betty: Yeah, but you have to let the Lord show you each time. He doesn’t work like a cookbook. Do you notice what’s happening there? Your Pseudo Savior was operating.

AM: Because I’m wanting to give this solution to other people?

Betty: Yeah. Let Jesus lead you. Let Him show you with each person when a thing is appropriate and when it’s not. I’ll be glad when you get this done, because I think it makes your depression worse having this stuff. You’re betraying yourself. It’s like you’re living with the saboteur. And here you have X whose learned how to manipulate this to get what she wants. Well, get this door closed. Stop doing it, and you’ll get your power back from X. So, that ought to be motivating you to get moving. Because you can’t afford to have her slamming you around like that. And it’s not healthy for her to do that to anyone. You need to read the books on manipulation, so you’re aware of this.
