AM: X complains and grumbles a lot. 

Betty: Don’t you think when we are grumbling, we’re really showing we’re out of the Divine Will?  We’re making it obvious that it’s our will. Because that’s what a grumbler is. if I were to ask you to give me a definition of a grumbler, what would you say? 

AM: It’s when we don’t like what’s happening in reality, 

Betty: In other words, our will is having trouble. So, my definition of a grumbler is when my will is not getting its way. If X is suffering from grumbling, how can she say she’s living in the Divine Will? It sounds like a contradiction. “So, Lord, teach us your view on grumbling.” Okay, what popped in my mind is, “How did God respond to the chosen people when they grumbled in the desert?” 

AM: He allowed them to suffer more.

Betty: They bought more suffering on themselves. So, every grumble is a choice of our will. And every choice of our Will, unless it’s united with the divine, is tearing us away from the Divine. It’s the opposite of prayer. If it’s united with the divine, it’s a prayer.
