BECOMING ONE WITH GOD IS AN ONGOING EXPERIENCE

AM: So, is that what it is? It’s letting go?

Betty: God is always more. So, the way God leads you is the best way. And we keep letting go of our own Perfectionist to take up what God has given us each day. So, there really is a peaceful choice in the whole journey into Christ.

AM: But you said he’s always asking for more.

Betty: Well, scripture is always more than we can ask or imagine. We never fully grasp all that is in God, but we do our best.

AM: But you also said he’s asking us for more every day.

Betty: The saints kept saying, “God is more than we can imagine.” He is always in this state of coming to be within us. We never fully grasp God. But we say that without despair. God is bigger than we can ask or imagine.

AM: That really takes a lot of letting go to get to that point.

Betty: But that is the spiritual life.

AM: It’s not an easy one for someone that likes to control things.

Betty: St Paul is filled with wisdom for people who have been able to successfully keep letting go and letting God. Paul continues to lead us in those places beyond what human beings can understand.

And that’s Ok. Because the desire to be one with Him is really the end of the journey. It is in our hunger and desire for God.

AM: And when we do that, then we let go, because we have such a deep desire for him.

Betty: Yeah. I’ll never fully grasp who he is, because Paul says, “He is more than we can ask or imagine.

AM: Then for the pre-conversion part, I’ll talk about how I let the Perfectionist run my life.

Betty: The Perfectionist always needs to continue to receive and let go. Becoming one with God is an ongoing experience. Let go. Let God.
