Betty: If someone needs patience, the Lord gives them many opportunities. In this case, this guy had problems with frustration, and his life was filled with frustrations. 

AM: Dang. Whatever you need in your life, that’s what God gives you over and over.

Betty: Yeah, exactly. It’s so that you grow in that and know how to fight that. But it’s like, “Oh my gosh.” 

AM: What do you get over and over? 

Betty: Rejection. It’s no fun. 

AM: Awh. That’s so sad.

Betty: I’ve had a lot of rejection in my life. It’s usually people who didn’t know what the Lord was about in my life.

AM: Does it not hurt as much now that you’re super close to Jesus? Or does it still really hurt?

Betty: I tolerate it with more peace now. Many people in my life have no idea who I am. They have no idea whatsoever. They make up their story and they put you in it. It’s not who you are. but they begin to see you through what they made, namely,”This is who you are.” It’s sad when we do that, because we never really get to know the person.
