AM: As I’m praying, I’m getting the words , “Boring, boring, boring…”
Betty: Now, what is boring?
AM: My life these days…
Betty: See, if you keep that up, then repetition is a way to reach the unconscious. If you keep repetition on something that is destructive, then you’re actually praying for the negative aren’t you? You’ve got to give that up. I’ve always said to the teens I worked with, “You take responsibility when you realize that you’re letting yourself get bored. You know you’re on a demonic path. So, you get off that path. You have the responsibility to get un-bored.” So, if you are bored, you need to put your work into, “How do I get away from this demonic leading path and onto a positive path?” So, put your energies into opening to the Lord for grace and inspiration as never to get bored again. And if you are truly living the will of God, it’s anything but boring. Isn’t that true?
AM: Yeah, for me, it’s when I get the depression that I struggle.
Betty: Yeah. Even the depression is like the cross that you carry. So, ask the Lord, “Lord, please take this depression that’s on me. And if you want me to suffer it, teach me how to do it in a positive way that will give you glory.” Do you see? Turn that actual depression into a gift to God. So, it’s not like what you see as a loss. If you don’t turn it into an offering to God, it is a loss. I find that I keep trying to use the negative for the Lord’s glory to turn positive. I don’t want to glorify Satan. I don’t want to waste my life doing that.
AM: You do a good job of turning your cross into a positive.
Betty: Well, that’s what Jesus kept doing. Look at Luisa Piccarreta. She learned to enjoy suffering for Christ. That could be a big help to you. You keep looking for the end of it. She kept looking to have something more to give to Jesus in love.
The feeling of boredom needs to be a warning to cry out to the Lord to make an effort to, “Put on the mind of Christ.” (Phil 2:5) Think of how Jesus handled Satan’s attempts to talk to Him?
By Your pursuit of negative thinking, whose thoughts are you welcoming? What are you building? I think a bad habit of repetitive acts of negative thinking which could move anyone further away from God who is the source of all goodness, love and truth
Do you REALLY want to spend your precious remaining time running from the Source of all peace, love and joy? Knowing you, I think not! Please turn around and, “Put on the mind of Christ Jesus.” Ask St. Paul to help you.
Father X said Satan has ordered his friends to spend more time with us. Has one moved in with you? Please serve him notice, and get back to what Jesus asks of you. And put on the mind of Christ to change your direction. Where you are heading will only increase your depression.
Are there any places in your life that you’re dissatisfied with? Turn it into an offering to God, so it’s not a loss.

My priest always says that it’s great to have stuff to offer as a living sacrifice to Christ. I always feel better when he reminds me of this, and I do seem to have a never-ending supply of things to confess and offer up.
