GOD DOES US A FAVOR WHEN HE STIRS UP OUR STUFF

AM: There’s tension with X. She’s angry.

Betty: Okay, but see, here’s my observation. X doesn’t want to deal with her stuff. Living in truth is the only healthy way you can live, I think God does her a favor and stirs up her stuff. But she doesn’t want to deal with it. It’s hard work to deal with your stuff. It’s much easier to be able to just shift it around to other people, and let them have the blame.

Nobody has taken her stuff and said, “Oh, it’s mine.” So, that makes her madder yet. But they shouldn’t take her unowned stuff. They shouldn’t say, “It’s mine,” because it’s not. It’s hers. I meet other people like that. They want healing, but only if somebody else goes through the pain. And they say, “Lord!” Well, it’s not the Lord’s fault. He’s given them an opportunity to get out of the pain, but they have to be willing to smell their stuff and not claim it’s somebody else’s. Honesty seems to work with the Lord. Integrity is very important.
