During the pandemic, I was struggling with all the oppression. My Aunt Betty’s words are below.
Betty: Has that been where your impatience is stuck? Why don’t you turn to the Lord in prayer? Do you have the faith to believe that he can make a difference? I don’t know if you can afford the luxury not to. Can you say, “I come against that oppressive thought that in the future everything’s gonna be oppression. In faith, I stand in this present moment calling on God’s mercy.” See, I don’t feel in you the fighter that you need to become. You don’t have to succumb to all this stuff if you take seriously what I’ve taught you. So, can you turn to the Lord and say, “Lord, please help me…”
Even when I tell you stuff, I don’t see you quickly turn to the Lord, accept it and pray into it. See, what I’m asking you is to live your life in faith. If you learn how to do that, then you take up faith like a sword, and you fight against those negative predictions. Can you say, “I come against that in the name of Jesus.” The feeling part may be saying, “I’m gonna live in Hell the rest of my life.” Instead say, “I come against that.” Don’t just sit there and say, “I’m gonna live in Hell the rest of my life.” No, don’t sit there and take that.
“Lord, I ask for tremendous miracles to come upon AM. I pray that all we lifted up today be sealed in your heart, and that Satan be vanquished from his kingdom that he’s trying to establish in her heart. We come against it in your name Jesus. Enough’s enough of that nonsense. You alone are the Lord. To You be the honor and the glory.” Satan does not own you. You have the victory. “So, Lord, give us the faith to believe that you are the victor knowing that Satan has already lost the game. He is just working on our feelings and making those who are ready to believe his lies miserable. Help AM see thru the lies and not just sit back and let it happen. She doesn’t have to be bound by that type of negative thinking. Give her the strength to live her life in faith and refuse the negative thinking in Your name Jesus.” There’s one thing I’d say about the Evangelicals. They’re taught not to sit there and waddle in it. You can take it up. You know how to do that. But it takes energy.
