AM: It’s an emotional day, because…
Betty: Remember, you believe in God’s Divine Will. So, what you need to do is accept his Will. That’s the way it is. Hand it over. Now, put all of that negative part in his hands. Ask the Lord to help you come to peace, so as to better be able to hear Him.
See, I always hear the Lord more clearly when I am in his will. So, if you’ve got agitation, you really have to put it in the Lord’s hands and move into his will. The agitation is telling you you’re out of his Will. Okay, so you let it be a sign there’s a part of you that’s not surrendering. God’s permitting something that you don’t approve of. It kind of taught me, “Betty, come on. You’re not running the world. God is.” We might not like what he’s permitting to happen. But then we have to move into, “Okay, Lord, I keep forgetting. I am not controlling the world. You are. Lord, help me to submit more easily to what you permitted.” See, I personally think that plays a large role in the times when you can’t sleep. You’ve got a very bad habit of fighting God’s will. It takes 40 days to break a habit. But you gotta be consistent and keep surrendering. I mean, it’s okay to say, “Lord. I really don’t like what’s happening. But I trust that you have more wisdom than I do. It’s your world. I want to stop trying to run it.” Got it?
AM: Uh huh.
Betty: You don’t sound convinced to me. There’s times when your “Uh Huh” seems to have like a “I don’t think you’re right.”
AM: No, I was thinking. That’s gonna make for a good blog.
Betty: Yeah. See, Satan tricks us into bad behavior. We’ve got to stop being so dumb and falling for his tricks. I’m giving up on him. His so-called good ideas are bad. You and I could get like what you’re going through right now, it’s like, “Uh, oh.” But “Wait a minute. I put it in Jesus’ hands.” Now please, you’ve got to set boundaries. “Betty, let go and let God be God. He knows what he’s doing without you trying to help Him. Just pray that everything works out as best it can.”

So true!! Thank you!
