Betty: You put all these negative judgments on yourself. Your condemnation is not just toward others, it’s toward yourself. And you tie yourself in knots, even in your own prayer. Do you want to stop doing that? Ask the Lord to help you stop doing that.
AM: I’ve given up, because it’s been so many years…
Betty: Okay, so in other words, when you pray, you immediately throw a judgment on it. That’s a hellish place to be. Because it smells like Hell. I think you ought to get out of Hell. I don’t think you belong there. But the way you think, it makes me think you want to live there. Pack your bags, and move out of Hell.
When you pray, don’t analyze. Sometimes, you act like you’re gonna benefit God by giving him your analysis. And I’m thinking, he must be laughing. Because first you pray, and God tells you what’s going on. Then, you give Him back the information He just gave you as though you’re the great analyst. I would say it would be better to pray it. Then, you get into the position of the person who is in need of help, coming to Jesus Christ the Savior, the Healer, and Redeemer. That is a better place out of which to ask for a favor.
Are you at deeper peace? Have you learned anything today? In other words, take this, and put it in your file cabinet. So, when you pray, perhaps, things will feel like they’re moving more for you. That’s what I’m hoping. Fasting on negative, quick judgments, not just on others, but on yourself, is going to help you.
Sit in prayer humbly, and let God speak to you. Get into the position of one whose in need of help. Turn the analyzer off and just pray it.
