BEING BORED IS A REBELLION  AGAINST THE WILL OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE

Betty: As a follower of Christ, you have an obligation to get yourself un-bored. Because being bored is a rebellion against the will of God in your life. Think of it. It’s when you choose to be bored. It’s one thing to feel boredom. We can all go into that. But once you go into it, you need to look at it and say, “Where is this gonna take me? It’s going to take me to the mouth of Hell.” That’s what it’s meant to do, namely to get you to rebel to whatever God’s permitted to happen in your life. When you find yourself on the path to Hell, you know, as a follower of Christ, that you’ve taken the wrong turn in the road. And you need to cry out to God for help.

Think of the “I ams” in Scripture. I find solutions when I think of the “I ams.” And immediately, if I made a wrong choice, and I’m turning the wrong way, I think about Jesus who said, “I am the way to the Father.” I think, “Oh, I’m going the opposite way. I’m going to the father of lies. I’d rather go to the father of goodness, love and truth.” That’s the role of faith right there. It’s when we realize, “Oh, okay. We missed the turn in the road. Get back, and go toward the way of goodness, love, and truth.” Because we’re not gonna find the solution by going the other way. It’ll just get progressively worse.

Are you rebelling at what God’s permitted to happen in your life? When you find yourself on the path to Hell, you know, as a follower of Christ, that you’ve taken the wrong turn in the road. And you need to cry out to God for help.
