AM: My journey is a constant “put your nose in the crud” situation. God has me constantly getting through one heap and then looking at the next one.
Betty: I can smell that one. It’s very descript. Can you put that in a prayer?
AM: “Lord..”
Betty: First thing I heard is, “You can’t make yourself holy.” There’s deceit operating below the conscious level. And the deceit is, “You do this or that and that’s going to make you holy. So, it’s built on a false hope.
“So, Lord, I offer you, in your mercy, the acknowledgement that if there’s anything false that my spirituality is built on, please, in your mercy, bring it forth to consciousness and help me reject it. We pray this for anybody who has trouble with this in our family, any competition that is hidden and not owned and acknowledged that is keeping a member of the family back from being the person that you’re really gifting them to be. Please come with your compassion, and shed light on what we need to let go of.”
I feel this kind of behavior is more unconscious. Being it’s generational, the hooks are more unconscious. That’s why X has taken a while to catch on to what you’re trying to teach her. Because she cannot see what she’s doing.
